College Royal - An Annual Tradition Since 1925
College Royal is the largest university open house event of its kind
North America. Each March, the University of Guelph opens its doors to the general
public in a campus-wide open house that attracts over 30 000 visitors every year.
For students College Royal is also a 12-day long event that includes popular
events like Super Thursday and the College Royal Ball. College Royal is a 100%
student run and organized event that involves some 3000 volunteers each year.
Whether you are a member of the general public curious to see what goes on at the
"university on the hill", or a student looking to become involved, we
invite you to join us. Come and join the fun next March!

College Royal 2010 Open House: March 20-21, 2010
The College Royal Society is pleased to announce that College Royal
2010 Open House Weekend
will take place on March 20-21, 2010. Open House hours are Saturday 9am-5pm
and Sunday 10am-4pm. Be sure to mark your calendars.
Students: Competitions Still Accepting Sign-Ups
As of Feb 8, 2010, the following events are still accepting sign-ups:
Scavenger Hunt,
Gryphon Jeopardy,
Ultimate Frisbee,
Flower Arranging,
Logging,
Photography,
Cat Show.

Students: Pay Days for Competitive Events - Mon-Tues, Feb 8-9, 2010
For students who have signed up for competitive events, entry fees are due to the CR Office (UC, Room 537, North Tower)
on Pay Days on Mon-Tues, Feb 8-9, 2010.

College Royal 2010 Celebrant Announced
The College Royal Society is pleased to announce that Sarah Brien will be
the celebrant for this year's College Royal Open House. Sarah a second year
UofG agricultural student. Read her welcome message for this year's Open House Weekend.
Students: Ball Tickets go on Sale - Sun, Feb 7, 2010
Tickets for the annual College Royal Ball will go on sale on Sunday, February
7, 2010 at 7:00pm in Peter Clark Hall (Level 0 - University Centre). The ball is being held on
Saturday March 13, 2010 from 8pm-2am. More information

Students: College Royal Ball Bands Announced!
The College Royal Society is pleased to announce that the bands for this
year's College Royal Ball on Sat, March 13, 2010 will be the Steelecounty, What She Said,
Karaoke with John McGlone,
The Test Icicles,
Hillbilly Entertainment with Terry Foster/DJ, and
Killin Time Band.
The Grad Lounge and Brass Taps (the Keg) will also feature their own DJs during the ball. more

Attention all University of Guelph clubs! The
Club and Exhibitor Handbook for
CR2010 is now is now available online. The handbook outlines how to get involved
in this year's Open House Weekend and
what forms need to be filled out in order to participate. Please see the club & exhibitor info page for more
information. Note: Club Display/Exhibit entries are due Fri Jan 29, 2010
CR2010 Theme and Colours Announced!
Each year's College Royal has its own theme and colours. This theme
is used by all clubs and student organizations at the university when
they put together there many displays each March. The theme and colours
have been a College Royal tradition since the early days of the Ontario
Agricultural College - now it is a campus-wide tradition. The theme for
College Royal 2010 is "Dream Big. Dream Royal." and
the colours are Green and Grey.
Regular College Royal Society Meetings - Tuesdays at 5:30pm
The College Royal Society meets on Tuesday nights at 5:30pm. All interested
students are welcome to attend. For the Fall 2009 semester, meetings are
held every other Tuesday, starting on Sept 22, 2009. In the Winter 2010 semester, meetings
take place every Tuesday, starting on January 12, 2010.
